    Hi,

Has anyone ever driven with dogs in the back of a Mondial Cabriolet?

Your thoughts on dogs in Ferraris in general please?

I am not a dog person at all. But my friend is.

    Thanks,

    Sixcarbs

Somewhere here I seem to recall a picture of just that... but I wasn't able to find
it - perhaps someone else will have better luck.

I think it's YOUR car - put in it what YOU want. Our cat takes naps all the time in
the front seat of my 328 if I should leave the top off. Has never bothered me much.

I've seen a dog in the back of a 330 2+2, and I read an article with a guy that bought a 250GTO in the sixties, still owns it and regularly takes drives in it with his dog.

There's an old joke about an English farmer driving around with pigs riding inside his Bentley, someone asked why he would possibly do that and he responds with "Pigs bought the car, pigs can ride in the car."

Personally I'm a bit too particular, but it's his car...to each his own.

Are you talking about the 4 legged man's best friend or the woman still in the bar at last call? :)

I have a Golden and a German Shepherd. I would be afraid of putting one of them in my 308...and tearing the seats.

My black lab goes where ever I go, and usually rides in the front seat. She likes the back seat of my 6 series BMW, which is pretty similar to a Mondial layout.

I will be buying a mondial soon, and don't care about the interior as the dog will have free rein. The mechanicals are the only important part, the rest is just a car.

Heidi the dog goes where I do.

I've put my daughters in the back of my GT4. They're much messier than dogs! ;)

You can always put the seat backs down and place some protective matting on the carpet. It may be worth checking state regs to see if there could be a legal issue; dogs aren't allowed in the beds of truck here because they become projectiles in accidents and I wonder if you could get stopped for that in a Mondial. With the seat backs down, a really large or excitable dog wouldn't be too deep in the car--so use your judgment.

I take my dogs in the F355 all the time. Just put down some heavy beach towels and keep them from resting there paws on the door sills.

    Dogs --- no problem.
    Kids --- no way!

I'd put down a blanket of course :), but the dog used to ride in the back seat of my 456 all the time. I trust a dog more than small kids --- at least a dog can be trained to obey commands.....and behave.

Yup, have put the dog in the back of my Mondial Cabriolet. I have a special harness for him that clips to the seatbelts, so we can drive with the top down. However, he does not like the Mondial. The engine is a bit too loud for his tastes, unfortunately. That, or he's just holding out for a two seater.

When my Rottie Katie Bear was alive she loved to ride in the Boxer and the 308.
And once I finish up paint on the 308 I'm sure my Cane Corso Kodi Bear will be in it all the time. Seat covers or a towel and your good to go!

dog hair is an absolute b!tch to remove from carpeted or fabric surfaces -and it gets EVERYWHERE the door skins, shelf, eeven the headliner!!
not mention, potential damage to the leather, the drool(especially gross on glass) and the smell of hot dog in the summer.
you'll spend more tme cleanin the car than enjoying it

i love both the car and dog too much to end up yelling at the dog for making a mess of the car
