anyone ever replaced wheel inserts ?

Hello from Germany,

some wheel inserts in my original Magnesium 16" wheels are worn, so that each time I remove a wheel I get some aluminium chips.
Recently I have seen, that there are replacement inserts offered by Hill Engineering and I would be interested in tackling this job during next ' wrench season '.

Did anyone of you perform this in the past ? If yes; are there any special things I have to take into consideration ? Last thing I want to do is damaging my wheels.
