The 275 GTS doesnt do anything for me . Its beautiful but a little too feminine . Id rather have a Lusso over it.

I think I would go with the 275. I hate all the fancy computers, the car is essentially driving you. I bet you guys thought a 16 year old would be the last person to say that.

"You want it to feel special ... but it doesn't." - JC on the 599.

There are a lot of Ferraris I'd take over the 599, the F40 being first in line. And yes, I'd take the 275 in a heartbeat. You can pick up a 599 cheaper later on if you want one; not so with the 275.

275 takes it for me. Better looking, overall carries more mystique and presence. Is legendary.

Absolutely. AND in 20 years it's still a 300HP car with no ECUs and electronics. Modern Ferrari owners are in for an interesting treat in the future...

I'd probably take the 275. I have owned a 275GTB, but have never even sat in a 599. But the 599 will be bettered by something else in the future, and will lose appeal, and will never be as significant of a design.

As time goes on, the historic significance of vintage Ferrari V12s becomes more and more apparent to me. We'll NEVER see those days or cars again. However, I do have to say that I've never cared much for the rear end design on the 275GTS or most of the 330 series. Reminds me more of a speedboat than a car. I do like the 250, GTE or 330 America rear designs a lot better. Still, what's not to love about any vintage V12 Ferrari? Gets better as each year goes by. :)

It would be the 275 all the way for me. Pure sex on wheels.

I agree. The better vintage Ferraris are already legendary cars. The Dino 246 is the most recent car to leave the 'common' realm (despite not being all that rare by Ferrari standards).

The smart money is on the older stuff. Much as current cars are a blast to drive, they are basically big depreciating computers with tires and badges.

Minor disagreement: The rear view of the 275 GTS is its best angle, IMO, although neither it nor the 330 series are among my favorites overall.

That brings up a whole other point, but one that won't go away: will there exist a repro aftermarket for obsolete electronic parts such as relays and sensors and ECUs for collectible or exotic cars? After a while there will be entire junkyards devoted to circuit boards and various electronic boxes, with no sign of recognizable car parts in sight. Will older electronics be reverse-engineered in 30 years?

Some pieces for Ferraris are already unobtainable if the original part fails or breaks. What does the future hold for the computer aided generation of soon-to-be older Ferraris? I don't even want to imagine a 599GTB in 40 years with 90% of it's electronic parts listed as "unobtainium."

Give me the new stuff. I like it for the moment and for the short haul. The old cars may in fact be where the money can be made but you are driving an old car that is outdated mechanically. The new stuff is the ticket.
