I'm coming up on a F1 clutch change and was wondering if there was any collective experience on using a compatible aftermarket clutch rather than OEM.$$$ I know there is nothing wrong with OEM and it probably is the best option, but there are so many aftermarket options that seem very well engineered and are 2-3 thousand dollars cheaper. If one were able to use an aftermarket clutch, would the position sensor, calibration etc even be usable for F1. If not, that decides that. Or possibly are these aftermarket clutches only for manual gated 3 pedal cars?

As an example, the one that I like is a stage one SPEC organic single plate

There may be others. Thanks for any input that you might share. This is the big undertaking for sure and I am looking for the best options if there are any.

F1 and gated uses the same clutch. I’d go the aftermarket, as long as it’s from a reputable company like Sachs(not sure if they make Ferrari clutches) who makes for Porsche

When I have to split the engine / gearbox connection to get to the clutch parts, I just flat out buy the factory ones. F1 system has too many variables / sensors that rely on the exact measurement to work right. Doing it the second time is just too costly.

I switched out the F1 relay with the Scuding Swiss unit but that's all.

    Not necessarily true.

    PLEASE PLEASE...listen to me..

DO NOT INSTALL ONE OF THOSE CLUTCHES..the car will not like it at all.

I begged a customer not to install one..but he insisted. I should have stuck to my guns and flat out just not have done the job.

It is the worst driving f430 I have ever experianced. Please..spend the extra and so it right. If you can't..then just sell the car.

Are you specifically warning him about Organic clutches or all aftermarket ones?
There are posts here for Kevlar ones working in the gated but not so much the F1
