I was driving today and I found a 1958 Mercedes 220 sedan which needed some major work.
I was trying to find someone so that I can inquire about the car, but no one around.
Body definitely needed restoration and hood was closed so don't know what condition the motor was in. Interior needed work also, except for the seats which were in good condition.

I am very familiar with 1985 and newer Benzs, but not with the older ones.
This is a very nice car, even the interior styling looks amazing for a 50s car.

Anyone know how much one of these that needs some major work runs for?
This is the first one I have ever seen in person.

The reason I ask is that I remember someone on here having one, just can't remember his name.

I have a 58 219. Very similar car-same engine, shorter body style. Mercedes supports the classic cars through their Classic Center, and most everything is available for full restoration (at a price!!!!). They can be expensive to restore though. If I can help you out, give me a call 812-327-9591.

Thanks I'll let you know if I come across any questions or concerns!
I wanted to go back and check it out again, but I am gonna be gone on vacation for 6 weeks so hopefully it'll still be available when I get back.
