Other than this one? VHT SP205 Gray Wrinkle Finish Paint - 11 fl. oz. 8
It's gray which is pretty close to silver.

I haven't heard of a source. I suggest using the gray wrinkle paint listed above then once cured a light coat of silver--my favorite is Rustoleum Dull Silver--not sure if its still made. A rally-wheel silver may be a close match too.

Agreed. Did exactly that on BBi and on 328 plenum. Works.

I can usually get it Adam but as the laws on shipping paint, especially in aerosol form, are getting so strict manufacturers are not able to supply to your average Joe.
The standard colour for the 512 cars is NOT silver but rather a light grey. I am just negotiating with a powder coat company near me to stock the correct colour :D

Tried many times here and was never able to get powder coat suppliers to come up with a silver wrinkle formula that worked.

Have source in Italy for conventional paint but as you say, importation would be viewed as a capitol offense.

And its bloody expensive as well :( I paid just under £100 for 1 pint of the paint. And they don't even do that any more! They have a black wrinkle and a separate silver grey paint for a finish coat.

I'll let you know if I find anything suitable over here.
