My 99 360 is still not state inspected because it can't talk to the SMOG computer due to the OBDII port issue. The dealer said they will fix it for free, but will have the car for a day or two. There is also a local Ferrari specialist that will update it for around 100 bucks.

The dealer seems like so much of a hassle for such a simple fix that can be done at home.

What exactly needs to be grounded? From what I've heard, it's just a simple ground wire from the ECU.

I don't have the doc at work but the dealer did it in about 10 minutes. It is a simple wire splice connector that adds another wire. Stick that pin into the the OBD socket (hole is empty) and you are done. Basically you need a little wire, a pin for the plug, and a splice connector from radio shack.

I am sure that the document is on this forum. Do a search and you will find it.

You're kidding right? The dealer will do it for free, you'll get dealer documentation that it was completed properly, but you'd rather hack with it yourself?

Get serious. This project isn't much more complicated than putting paper in a 3 ring binder.

I've looked all through the PDF, and still have not found the wiring diagram or instructions.
