Moderators, sorry this is not Ferrari related but trying to get as much exposure to see if can find someone to help.

My wife and I are restoring her Parents 1970 Buick GS convertible without them knowing it. We have ran into a major road block of needing a new rear bumper as previous one is to far gone. We have located one but is in Seattle WA. Awaiting word from our shop doing work if this will be an acceptable core for getting repaired and chromed. Where I need help is getting this new bumper to the east coast as seller will not ship. I am hoping I can locate someone from the DC or Baltimore area who may be flying out to Seattle WA that be willing to check in the bumper as checked luggage on their flight back. I would obviously pay for the fees for this and get you a little something for your time.

If anyone up for an adventure let me know. I would have the seller bring it to the airport and I will meet you at airport to get it from you. Thanks everyone and Mods if have to move to some other Forum I understand, just hoping to get as much exposure as possible to this request. Thanks everyone.

Call a UPS pack & ship store local to the buyer. Most all of them offer pick-up of items and they'll pack/ship to you... no adventure needed. :)

Thanks for input guys. Greyhound would be very cost effective if I can convince seller to get it to station. We shall see. Awaiting to hear back from the Chrome Shop on if this be a good core bumper to restore.

@BigTex I can't wait to surprise them for sure. Every time I see my father-in-law he loves to remind he like to ride in it before he dies. I been telling him lately after looking for parts we should just scrap it as parts way to expensive to restore car. He point now he says he going to just get someone to tow it back to put in his garage. We now almost double our original budget thanks to rust everywhere but be worth it in the end. Look on his face be priceless and my mother-in-law be overcome with emotion. She didn't care when I took her baby girl away from them but when we took the car she couldn't even watch it leave she was so upset. This gonna be great.

I live in Tacoma (which is a stones throw away from Seattle) and would be happy to help if you need it.
Just let me know what I can do.

You might also think of using Amtrak or another railway line.
Very fair rates and easy to work with. Only down side is the locations of stations might not be ideal.
