Anyone on here going to the 24 Hours of LeMons next weekend - particularly Sunday? I am planning to take one or both of my sons and possibly some of their friends down for the day.

Sorry, forgot to mention, the team name is Hand Me Down racing. One e36 and a couple of Hondas. I believe we will have one of the pit garages. We will also be using the garage directly across from T17 or the end of pit straight. Stop on by.

The best possible time to be at the track will be the paddock potluck dinner on Saturday night, about 30-60minutes after the track goes cold at 5pm... I'm bringing the tamales.

I don't know where we are pitting, but this is the car to look for, the pink Rambler. Please stop by anytime. I'm happy to be a tour guide and tell you more than you want to know about the race, unless I'm under the car or in the car. Ask for Dave.

Edit: just looked, Potluck supper starts at 6pm, at the penalty box which is at the awnings across from the pit straight garages. Don't be shy, there will be plenty to eat, just brong your appetite. You don't have to be a racer... If you've made it to the track and stuck around, you're already family so dig in.

I'll be there with Team Ginger Racing. We'll have the usual two BMW 5 series cars plus a new-build V-8 Mustang a.k.a. Spawn of Chucky. Ask for Alan or just look for the tall Asian guy.

Sitting in my office in San Angelo right now, wishing I was at the track for Friday practice. 400 miles to go, before I sleep.

It's not going well for Rambles... We are chasing ignition problena and have narrowed down to igniter box... There's been an intermittent miss for several races but now it's debilitating. We've thrown coils and cap/rotor at it. Must be the box.

Hope y'all's teams are fairing better.

Stew is out here with his Honda Wagovan as well.

It was a pretty good weekend for Ginger Racing. The BMW's finished 3rd and 8th. The Mustang suffered from a persistent misfire and a cut brake line, but it still held on to barely crack the top half with a 52nd place in the 105 car field.

Good to see Alan and Dr Tax I mean. Texas Forever. did you manage to stay out of the penalty box or did you need my advice? Haha

We were winning on style points but that's about all we were good at this weekend. Threw a bunch of parts at the ignition system before deciding the carburetor was probably to blame for the misses. But a rough day at the track is way better than sitting at a desk!

Looks like Stew had a pretty great race.

Nice results! Are the BMW's class A and Mustang B?

I was curious how the yellow E36 with an LS swap would do... They grenaded after 2 laps, I heard.

The Mustang is Class A too plus 8 BS penalty laps. Probably due to some suspension and brake upgrades. That car is really built more in the spirit of ChumpCar rather than LeMons.

Yeah, I heard that too. I read somewhere that they were charged 100 BS laps.

And it was nice meeting you.
