    I was wondering if anyone on here will be participating in this years Great American Run starting on July 29th thru August 4th? Price is 10,000 per car with a 2 person maximum. I'm going to register sometime next week and will be starting the race out of Washington, DC. Sounds like this will be the first Cannonball for the United States.     That isn't the Cannonball Run. Dude's going to get either shut down or sued.

    Why do you think he will get shut down, there is nothing illegal here, am I missing something?? If you're doing 150mph across each state, then yes, you're going to be in big trouble, but having 400 cars march across the country is in no way illegal........... :)

    Yes, you are missing something. The illegal part is using a registered trade mark without permission.

    No, it starts off in Virginia. Anyway, there is no law stating that 100 cars aren't allowed to leave the same hotel and drive off to the same place together. If someone wants to speed, then they get a ticket, plain and simple. It will be a fun event.

    I'll do the Great American Race if I can spring a cherry Corvair convertible from it's hiding place..

    I like Player's Run also, I met Markus in Texas years ago......
