I think it looks hot and will drive like a racecar but I would go with an older roadster 1. to save a chunk of coinage and 2. It just doesn't look as good as the last model. I'm picky buy I also know what I like. If I get a good deal on one, I'll buy it, if only to drive it for a summer.

I think the price ($51K) is very fair.

    In Canada they're $70k plus $10,5k in tax = $80,5k

$51k US = $58k CAD. So the extra $12k in the purchase price and $1,800 in extra tax is not fair in my books.

Shipping it back to Canada will eat any savings. New cars, from what I understand are a ***** to bring into Canada.

I'll do it with a Boxster, 968 or a 2002 M roadster if I find one that matches my specs. The premium will be off thoes cars and they have reasonalbe prices now, so that's an option, although there are still roadblocks.

Pretty sure we have to pay a certain % of the vehicles total purchase price in duties and also taxes. I think you would still end up saving some money. Perhaps someone with experience can chime in on this one?

Have you been to customs lately? In answer to your question F*** no!

Paper work like ownership, registration, my provincial registration, insurance, then any differences from the US model to the Canadian model will have to be addressed, if not changed. You can't bring a Lotus from the states in from a couple of years ago because of the bumpers and headlights. Canada has much tougher laws on saftey than the US which brings up problems and also differences in design can be a red flag. It all comes down to the make, model, where it's coming from and where it's going. It's slightly different for each car. Older cars have an easier time getting in and out and very old cars don't seem to have any trouble.

Canadian Customs agents are all the same group of people acid junkie, collage flunky, dirty puppy, daddy bastards.
I'd have better luck if I was a classy, honey, kissy, huggy, lovey, dovey, ghetto princess.

P.S. Josh McRae doesn't sound French to me. Are you with a secret invasion force to destroy the French population in Canada? If so can I carry your flag?
