    Anyone going to the Lime Rock Historic Festival on September 1, 2013? I'm thinking of heading up. I wonder if it is any good.

    Just so you know, there is no racing or even starting of race engines on Sunday at Lime Rock. Sunday is only for some excellent car displays on the track and the vintage racing resumes on Monday.

    I haven't raced or spectated there in several years but it always has been a good weekend for car fans. Racers complain about lack of track time but that has always been true. With 10 different race groups, all you get is a short warm up practice in the morning and then a short race in the afternoon. Good for spectators though.

    I'm well aware of that. That no racing Sunday stupid consent decree has been in place since 1963, well before I was born. I know it is just a fancy car show. Seem like there is a Caffeine and Carburetors event going on in the morning there. The real one is in New Canaan the following Sunday.

    I didn't want anyone driving up to Lime Rock on Sunday expecting to see vintage racing, which is the main point of the weekend, and see nothing but a car show.

    I appreciate the heads up. We didn't end up going as weather report didn't look great and it showed very high humidity levels.
