Anyone gotten the Fabspeed headers deal recently?

    Has anyone gotten the Fabspeed $2,695 headers deal recently, and did it come with the heat shields and copper gaskets? If so, are you happy with them? Any heat issues?

    I actually got them at the full price (about $300 more than what you quote) for my 355. I had them ceramic coated before installing as they do not come with any heat shields or the copper gaskets. This was about 1500 miles ago (6 months ago). The longest drive I have take so far with them installed was out towards the coast and back which was a little over 1.5 hours each way with no heat issues. On that weekend I also made a half dozen high speed runs on an airport runway (speeds of 120 to 140mph) with air temperature around 80F and again no heat issues. I got those headers and the Hyperflow cats at the same time. I have been happy with them.

    Thanks, Matt. That's a pretty good test run. I'm thinking about the ceramic coating as well, but will still probably get the heat shields for the alternator and A/C. I thought I saw a thread saying they were including them now, but I can't seem to find it now. I just can't justify paying double for the tubis if these are safe to run.

    I believe they do include the heatshield and gaskets as well. I am sure the guys at Fabspeed will tell you if you give them a call.

    I had them make a reflective heat shield for my alternator when they installed the headers. So far it seems to be working well, it is made out of that thin reflective stuff, don't really know what it is called but they just cut it to size and shape and attach it.

    I have over 8k (1 1/2 years) on mine..:) I had them coated they didn't come with the shields then but I had one made for the alt. I've hat NO problems with heat and I drive mine in 110 degree weather with the A/C on in stop and go traffic...:D

    The Fabspeed F355 headers come with heat shields for the alternator and compressor now. We also include new copper gaskets with 12mm copper nuts.

    I got the Fabspeeds as well several months ago. Over 1000 miles on them so far with no problems. Pretty happy with them. Didn't come with heat shields or gaskets back then so lucky you. Those crappy little OEM exhaust gaskets cost a fortune.

    As jeremy mentioned the heat shields protect the A/C compressor and alternator. In the past we did not have these shields BUT we never had any heat issues from F355 customers driving in Arizona to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The 2 heat shields simply add more protection and allow the A/C to blow colder and alternator to stay cooler.

    We have F355 headers available for the 5.2 injection and 2.7 injection. Also for European customers or RACERS Fabspeed can and will eliminate the AIR injection ports for no extra charge.

    The copper gaskets are .048" 1.2mm thick and malleable. If anyone needs new gaskets let us know as these are lifetime gaskets and we have new copper 12mm locknuts from Wurth.
