Thinking of dying my black interior testa to a tan colour. Has anyone done it before or is it even possible at all? Pls share your experiences.

It is possible but it might hurt your resale in the long run.

    Good luck,

going from dark to light is a bit difficult. i can be done except the slightest scratch in the leather will make the dark show through ! leave it the way it was made. if you want it done right you will have to re skin the seats and door panels. seats are going to cost you about 1800 a seat give or take a few bucks.

You can't fit a shovel, quicklime AND a body in a TR.. you'd need a 550 for that!

    I remember the movie. LOL

    Blood? 2 possible scenarios......

Anyway, not dying the leather anymore. re-upholstering it instead. honey yellow on my TR. :D

Re-upholstering with Connolly leather (since Connolly went out of business a few years ago) will be HUGELY expensive. Re-upholstering with some 'other' leather will kill resale, and not look original. I have searched for tan 308 QV leather components from wrecked cars before, everyone wants over $3,500 for used tan seats/doors/center console, and you have no guarantee of getting something that isn't cracked/torn/damaged/worn.

Dying is your only alternative. I've seen a few shots of this - the older leathers with the laquer dye can be taken to 'parade rest', but will require much work and several applications to get to the base plain leather. Leatherique offers some solutions, I'd check them out.

    Good luck!
