Blackberry is awesome. I like the Curve better cause it has a keyboard that is not attached to the other letters. You wont have to restart or deal with that BS anymore!!

I use the Blackberry 8830 up in Canada and its probably the best phone I have ever used. I have used many phones in my day as well since I work in the mobile industry.

I love my 8830 too. I find it easy to use and rather intuitive. I've only had it a month and so far its been pretty much bulletproof. Now if only I could get verizon to get my billing straightened out.

I picked up a Blackberry Pearl 8130 about a month ago and like it. In addition to all the stuff it does, it's a really good cell phone. :) Better IMO than the Palm Centro a friend of mine got.

I LOVE my 8830, I get better service on it than friends do on their motorola's.

As mentioned the GPS feature is better with Google maps. Verizon turned off the GPS maping feature so they could market their own navigation software.
there are 3rd party applications that offer triangulation if you need it.

I prefer Gmail mobile which is installed onto the phone than the blackberry email service. I didnt like the noticifications for each email, so now I check it when I feel I need to.

I downloaded an app called "Beyond411" its basically a yellow/white/web search function.
after you search for a business you have choices to add it to the address book, get directions to that place, or call them directly. its a great app.

Probably too late for you... I had the vzw 8830. Nice device except the mic. Terrible! Pics up every background sounds. People on the other end hated it. Otherwise it worked fine. Still, the mic being a key part of a phone and being awful, I dumped it for a Pearl, much better sound, now just that funny little keyboard...
