Just wondering if anyone has purchased one of these things (or one like it) to put on your garage floor to collect dripping snow and slop in the winter? If so, was it worth the money? Thanks, Jerry.

I bought one and sent it back. I didn't like that the edges were just a hose inside the plastic, and I thought it looked crappy. The fold lines looked bad, but they might have gone away over time. I went with a race-deck floor instead and am very happy. I also bought one of the above mentioned plastic sheets ( 1 car size) and during wet seasons put it under one of the daily drivers to catch the dirty water, and then can pull it out on the drive to clean.

I never understood these things........you're spending money on this product designed to keep your garage floor clean...........why don't you buy a pad to put over the car pad to keep the car pad clean...........just kind of wierd in my book. spray out your garage once a month, end of problem.

It's a little hard to spray water when it's 10 degrees outside.

for the price of the pad, you could probably put a hot water spigot in the garage.

I have no drain in my floor so i have to open up the door to spray the water outside. When the temperature is that cold, it makes no difference if you can get the water out of the hose, the water will freeze right to the garage floor instantly or make the driveway into an ice rink, it is just not an option.

Oil and fluids can make a new concrete garage floor look bad fast. It makes the garage look scuzzy and when you go to sell your house can be a turn-off. It's much cheaper and easier to remove the covering than to re-pour your garage floor.

I like larger area coverings better and might do my garage with those. The yellow carpads look trashy, IMO.

Having lived in Cleveland and Chicago before moving to San Diego, I can tell you that hosing out an unheated garage in Jan-Feb-March up north is a bad and dangerous idea, as Jerry said. Ice.
