Is it worth getting? I'm currently an undergraduate student at Syracuse University, double majors in Entrepreneurship and Accounting. I hope I'm making the right decision by selecting accounting as one of my majors.
I would say you should either commit to getting the CPA or change your major to just entrepreneurship, career ceiling is pretty low for people with accounting degrees but no CPA. You'll always be able to find work without it, but won't progress far beyond middle management. What are your career goals? Starting a company? Private practice? etc.
Honestly, I'm just planning to start off my career at a Big 4 Accounting firm, leave after a couple of years, and then I'm all for real estate. Your suggestion of sticking to just one major is really getting me to think even more. I'm even more confused now! haha
