I just purchased my F355 Spider. I will post pics tomorrow. Looking to see if anyone has a Capristo Level 3 and or Hyperflow cats for sale for a reasonable price? The car has an OEM exhaust now and maybe I'm crazy not even having the car a day but it seems like it would be just awesome to do this upgrade. Will the car pass colorado emissions with the Hyperflow cats?
    Thanks.

I know several examples of the Hyperflows triggering the CEL light and therefore failing the emssion test for any state. One even has the gold pin kit so that too is not a sure fix. But, they do sound cool.

Get the Hyperflows... a fantastic upgrade.

I did Tubi muffler, followed by Tubi Headers, and ended with the Hyperflows. Sound improved on each level.

I have never seen a CEL.

I have tubi with hyperflows, no CEL's. Wish I could find a cheap Capristo! The sound is amazing! Good luck and congratulations on your purchase :)

I've had Hyperflow cats on my '99 355 for over six years. They've never caused a CEL and the car consistently passes California emissions test requirements. Highly recommended.

I have had Tubi headers, Hyperflow cats and Tubi exhaust for 3 years now and have never had a problem passing Colorado emmissions. My 1995 F355 passed both times by a very large margin. I had the headers and cats installed by Scuderia Rampante during my major service.

    Complete Nonsense, enough of that.

As I have stated many times before... Cats are dumb, they only deal with everything fed to them and I have yet to see a HyperFlow Cat that has failed to perform as designed to this day. I help Troy with testing his designs where ever I can lend a hand, he is a good friend. Some years ago he stated to me that he did see one failed Cat that he thinks was a QC problem some 6 or 7 years ago, the rest are caused failures due to engine management problems. Many blame them but it is based on poor logic, no facts and lack of understanding. They are a terrific product that many have tried to copy but none have improved upon, they all fall short, a WIN right out of the gates.

The GCK will NOT fix a flat tire, it wont restore bad compression, will not ressurect failed components and it cant fix dumb. If you knew the other 1/2 of the story behind the first time the GCK was stated to be a failure on THAT car you would understand why I lash out at such a statement. Story time... From 2k miles away I spent better than 2 weeks working on that problem with literally zero payback for doing so and NO public retraction of the statement regarding calling to question the Gold Connector Kit. All I will say in those regards is BLACK plug to BLACK socket, not Black to Blue or Black to Gray. By hooking a knock sensor plug up to the cam phase sensor... what do you get? Spend a few weeks pouring over wiring diagrams, thinking you failed in a design area, not knowing plugs were reversed, maybe you too will be able to predict what caused a new CEL with no car present, no photo's or hard data, I had to and did.

Not a sure fix...? Nope it surely isnt but poor workmanship will have poor results. Most ONLY hear about the complaint, the fix is often too embarassing to speak of publicly and I have had enough of this one, it is time to state FACTS publicly and put that to bed. Some things are simply out of my control and when instructions are not followed.... you get what you get. I learned a hard lesson on that car thinking things would be made right with a retraction done as publicly as the "IT FAILED" statement was made. It was proven a "caused failure" and was identified only through FREE hard work on my part.... I was wrong as no public retraction was ever made and it has become fodder for those wanting to disprove a concept/system of mine. I may be slow BUT I do learn and these types of situations and set in place policy that effects everyone coming afterwards.... shame.

Facts have a nasty habit of getting in the way and putting 1/2 stories to rest. What have we learned from this? The HyperFlow Cats are a wonderful option with very few, if any downsides and the Gold Connector Kit wont fix a flat tire... end of story.

Gold Connector Kit installed when I did my recent major major. Also installed Hyperflow Cats. Followed all the correct procedures. No CEL's to report after 700+ miles. Passed MA emmissions with flying colors. Still have to install the Main ECU Gold Connector Kit this winter. Dave did not have the kit complete when my engine was out.

Nor was it available when the car spoken of was done to the best of my recollection. It was problems with this car and a host of others (Hugh's car being another, TMan's yet another) that forced me to continue on this quest until we had all the issues understood and resolved. Fixing some of the problems was a great break though but fell short of the quest. As with so many design's its the final small details that take the greatest amount of time and effort...... the 5.2 ECU plug was all of that.

To prove this was a requirement to the complete kit I purposely shorted this plug from a few testers, our own FBB and his 550 was one of said cars. Only after he had months of trouble free driving with the base kit installed did I release this later update to him to see if he could experience any further benefits. The rest has already been spoken of.... we proved it was a requirement to do this completely proper. For those not wanting or requiring said benefits, we decided to offer a lesser kit.... What can I say, its why this project has now expanded into a second filing cabinet to contain the notes. There are many updates to follow and those will require all the tools and a prior purchase of one of the kits so we can assure lasting and predictable results. Things like this happen dont happen by accident, it was just too good to hold back for another 3 years to really call it finished.
