I'm thinking I may want to try 'em, but not being 100% sure I'll be into the idea, I figure I shouldn't shell out $2K+ for a brand new set. My car has straight pipes and it SCREAMS, but it may smell a bit better with a set :) I suppose it is also the environmentally responsible thing to do.

I'm also more than happy to hear opinions and user experience!

I have used FabSpeed cats before with excellent results.

I have a used set of Nouvalari cats laying around in the garage somewhere, the passenger side is burnt out ?
    It was throwing a CEL.
Environmentally responsible ;) and the numbers 348/355 together might not fly.

Really, I would love to just grab the headers, cats, and exhaust.

I actually just removed a set of sportcats from my car. They put them in to pass smog when I bought the car, have been in for 2 years, 3k miles.

I'm switching to the stock cat's with the fabspeed re-core so that it has the right stamp for california SMOG test stations.

What year Cats are you looking for?

If you go the Fabspeed route, I'd suggest not ordering directly from their web site. Either call them or engage them through the online chat. They seem to be able to swing a deal if you ask them what they do can on price. I recently ordered replacement cats for my 355 and this was what I did. Fwiw, they were great in terms of communications and promptness. Be aware that they likely will cite a lead time of 10-12 business days to ship as the cats are made to order - or at least they were for a 355 5.2.
