    There is a guy selling this 430 and curious how much you guys think this car is worth. He just go a 15k service done on it. The car has 49,XXX on it. Just by reading the notes, it looks like the car was beat up a little. Just surprises me that a car needed engine mounts...

    Looks like there was prior damage. Though seller did not tell me. Seems like a few wrecks..odd

    Walk away from this car...two accidents! I wont ever buy a car that has been in an accident, PERIOD! I would put the value at south of $75K due to two accidents and high mileage. A car never drives the same after it has been damaged in an accident.

    3 wrecks, not 2..lol Odd that 2 are on same day 3 years apart.

    and, he is wanting 99k and he states that the wrecks were only bumpers and nothing else....(no airbags)

    You are begging for trouble buying a car with this history. You're guaranteed to frequently have expensive repairs, hassles, and the resale value will be much lower than whatever you will pay. If you want to spend less than $100k, buy a 360. I think if you went to trade this car into a Ferrari dealer, he'd give you $65k reluctantly.

    If you found a clean 430 with 50k miles, I think that's worth the $99k he's asking.

    Some food for thought: I was at a dealer with my clean 2006 430 spyder with 16k miles, and he offered to buy it for $110k.

    Engine mounts go because of miles , just like the coil packs. Ferrari V8 engines with horizontal cranks have more vibration than your usual V8. thus the motor mounts have to do more to keep up with it. Not surprised they were replaced.

    I did mine in my 360 a couple months ago in my garage while on ramps and it didn't take 6 hours.. the billing hours in this invoice are BS. OTOH when I called the collection they wouldn't return my calls so I'm not surprised..

    Thanks that helps some. He did F1 and chain last year.

    Tons of money on service.

    So. It's worth about 80k retail I take it.

    Yikes! Two grand to change two motor mounts? I did mine (on a 360) not long ago with one jack and a set of jack stands. It certainly took a lot less than the eight hours they charged and my parts, purchased at retail, were roughly 25% of what the invoice shows. WTF?

    It's one thing to pay a skilled mechanic a high hourly wage, even if he's doing work that any teenager could do. But it really gets to me when they jack up the prices of the spare parts WAY above retail.

    Talked to the dealer today. The car is only 65k trade in about 80-85k retail because of miles and wrecks. Seller wants 99k so not sure if this is right car. Rather have a 360 with no issues.

    Seller seems to act like a kid too which concerns me if he drove it hard.

    Time will tell. Thanks all for advice.
