Ummm, with respect, everyone here doesn't have good things to say about them. Read the posts, especially the recent ones.
Bought my '05 360 Spider from Scott at Excell. It was the first and last time I deal with Excell and/or Scott. I am not going to go into details here, but suffice to say that things were not as they should have been. If anyone is curious and is contemplating a purchase, feel free to PM me and I'll discuss the issues I had in private. My recommendation is to stay far away. There are better options out there.
I bought my '04 360 Spider from Scott at Excell. I am in full agreement with 5800RPM -- it's the first and last time that I'll deal with either Excell and/or Scott. Similarly, if anyone is looking at one of his vehicles, PM me and I'll be happy to discuss the issues I had.
As a follow up to my previous post about Excell, Scott did see this thread, and he did contact me and make amends for the key issue as well as ensuring that I finally got a copy of the Major Service records from Blackhorse. So for what it's worth, he did try to make amends, and that scores some points in my books.
He didn't try to make amends for the nonsense he heaped upon me, even though he offered to cut me a check to cover the cost of obtaining the missing items. I would never buy another car from Scott/Excell, neither would I recommend them to anybody on fchat. Will gladly respond to any PM from interested parties.
My experience with Excell has been very positive. Scott and his team were highly professional and accomodating when I purchased from them. The car was fantastic and exactly as advertised. The entire process -- from initial test drive to PPI to final transaction -- was actually a pleasure. One year later they flatbedded my car to iits annual service free of charge. I'm sorry to hear that others have had issues, but I would defininately buy from Excell again.
My experience with Scott Zankl at Excell was excellent. Admittedly, I do not buy and sell a lot of sports cars so the idea of shipping my Aston Martin to Excell, a dealer I didn't otherwise know made me nervous. Nonetheless, Scott and his team made the process seamless and did everything they promised. I was kept up to date of where my Porsche Panamera Turbo i was receiving was the entire time, there were no hidden fees. Excell was patient with me as I had some delay on getting my car shipped to them. I never felt like they shopped my offer to purchase the Porsche around to other buyers . Even when we had a miscue on the shipping price Scott agreed to pay the difference out of his own pocket. Highly recommend. I'm referring my mother to Excell to buy her BMW, I'm sure she'll have a great experience too.
Scott the owner is not to be trusted! I've sold to cars to him, the first one took 5 months to pay off. These guys are as bad as CNC Motors and run scams.
