I wonder if a stronger pump would find weaknesses in other components. I feel like they oversell themselves though. This line in particular:

“ The hydraulic system is responsible for controlling various functions in the vehicle, including the transmission, suspension, and brakes.”

How exactly does this pump affect the brakes and suspension?

I asked this same question months ago and got no replies. I also emailed the company to talk to them about it and got no replies. Not promising. I bought a new factory pump instead.

Thanks for the reply. Seemed promising, but if the vendor isn’t even willing to respond to your inquiry, it probably isn’t worth buying

That. And to be fair, a new factory one will last a long time.

This is a point that often gets overlooked. I see it on other groups for older cars when something like a radiator fails finally after 25 years and 200k miles and the initial reaction is that there has to be something better. These cars are getting up there. Something that works as hard as the F1 pump lasting for all these years is not bad at all.

plus the factory did upgrade the pump, so whichever new OEM one you get will be the same or better than what is currently installed.

I Iknow that they upgraded the pump on later model years but I didn't realize they updated the pump for that year the old fashioned style are you sure?

I'm not sure, but I thought I read here someone had updated the 355 to the 360 pump and 360 pump to 430 pump.

That was maybe me for a friend of mine ..that requires a new bracket and some wiring changes ..the 2006+ pump is definitely a upgrade.. it isn't cheap to get the all the parts from even Eurospares unfortunately

I spoke to Mike (college boy) on this subject and he (and I agreed) figured just put a new original and hopefully it lasts as long as the original lasted

Pump, or pump motor..2 different things. The pump MOTORS were upgraded on the later 430's. The pumps themselves I don't think have changed.

I have in the past used the BMW 335i SMG pump motors with great success. Just need to swap the connectors..they are identical down to the Denso part numbers. The pump heads are different..but you can swap the guts.
