I’m working on a project car and was wondering if anyone has the diagrams or schematics for the door wiring for the latch and window and locks? Even just the color identification of what goes to what.

Are the micro switches on the locks and handles and windows open until switched or closed until switched (meaning when you pull the handle or turn the key does it let power through or cut power)? I am assuming these are all 12v+ not ground activated?

I have the door light on the driver door on and the passenger not on. Also the power window switch illuminator lights on the dash seem to be staying on which makes me believe a micro switch is bad somewhere.

if I had the schematics or knew which color wires should do what I would probe them.

    thanks for any help guys!

Most of the microswitches are normally open until switched. Most provide an earth (ground) to the Window ECU when switched.... so the ECU must be providing power to the switches.

I don't have a wiring diagram for the standard F430, only the Scuderia (which is missing one of the microswitches). i.e. the armrest lock microswitch. I usually use the F360 wiring diagrams instead, although wiring colours may vary.

If you're doing switch wiring checks, you can do them at the main door plug (at the hinge) or at the Window ECU. Or pull the door to pieces. Here's a diagram of the Driver's Door (360).

For easier reference, the graphics show the door connector (as viewed from the pin side, not the wire side). Since the plugs on the Window ECU can be susceptible to moisture and poor fitment, some folks do the wiring checks from there (and also check for pin contamination).

I'm not 100% sure of the internal wiring of the external door key microswitch block "4M". There are 3 microswitches on the key mechanism alone. One is not used however. I think it's wired up something like this:

The short harness on the microswitch block has red, blue, yellow and black wires. To add to the confusion, the red wire may be the earth wire.

The passenger door wiring is identical (other than the lack of external temperature sensor wiring)

This diagram shows the wiring between the driver's and passenger's door connectors and the Window ECU on the Ferrari 360

In comparison, here is a similar diagram for the F430 Scud

There was another thread on switches posted last week or so, which mentions the lighting problem. You may want to join in on that thread.

You wouldn’t happen to have something similar for the door latch wiring? Looks like it has 6 wires (4 wire plug and 2 wire plug) if I recall. Thanks for sharing. You’re obviously the expert of these cars when it comes to wiring. Literally I bet one in a million with this kind of info

I don’t think I replied to you in my last post for some reason. Just asking about the door lock latch wiring. Thinking I might have the issue there.
