    Wowza, too late. It just sold for 53K. Wow, what a deal, I wish I bid.

    Didn't sell for 53k. Was bid up to 67k, and the seller canceled the auction to sell to a buyer who had contacted him directly, I assume offering something above 67k.

    My guess for that car (it had NO service records) was a fair value around 70-72k. For me, add to that the cost of a repaint and re-dye of the interior, not a big fan of its color combo.

    This was my reply from the seller, which I guess is an independant financer "buy here pay here" ;)?

    No carfax, no service records. Inspection no problem, on your dime, post inspection you no like, we return you money, straight up, no problem, thanx.

    Sounded reasonable, but for no records, it could have been a bomb.

    Car fax is a joke anyway. A clean car fax means nothing. PPI from reputable dealer and on sight visit is the only way to buy
