Placed an order inquiry at Unobtainium Supply a week ago, also called the number on his website with no response. Hope he's ok.

I've been calling and emailing off and on for a few months with no response. He has no idea who I am though, maybe he's swamped with work from 'known entities'. I hope he is ok too.

I have been waiting over a year for my order. I spoke with him a few times. He tells me "about 2 more weeks." Not sure why.

I believe Verell has health issues and he has a backlog of orders. This was mentioned in 'The Setback Machine', Hagerty Driver's Club magazine Sep-Oct 2024

Very sorry to hear about Verrel's health issues. I wish him the best.

Many years ago I purchased one of his delrin shift shaft bushings that replaces the silent bloc. I replaced the bushing closest to the engine and now I'd like to replace the one closest to the shifter as I have the center console out. I think I'll just machine a replacement myself. If anyone else needs some let me know as I'll need to buy a foot of the delrin rod and I'll have left over.

It's been a couple of weeks now and no word from Verrel. I truly hope he is ok.

I really wanted to get the car back together and since the distal (engine side) shift shaft bushing on my 328 had already been replaced with a Delrin bushing I wanted to do the same for the proximal bushing under the center console. I ended up purchasing a foot of Delrin for $8 and went to the family machine shop to make one on my own.

How many people does it take to make one of these bushings? In my case three, . . . three generations that is. What should have been a quick 15 minute project turned into a 2 hour affair involving Grandfather, Father, and Son. The three of us BS's our way through the project, blaming one another for the delays. I grew up in this machine shop and I have plenty of experience machining steel and aluminum but I think this was the first time I've ever machined a plastic polymer. My son who graduated earlier this year with a degree in mechanical engineering tried to explain thermal expansion of polymers but I didn't listen resulting in the "third times a charm" idiom being required :)

I heard from him last Tuesday, and he said he's been dealing with health issues and lots of backorders. My order is just one of many that he's working on.
I'm sure he's doing all that he can to catch up.

Friend of mine runs a machine shop just for plastics... Completely different animal to metals. Humidity and water are big factors.

I ordered some stuff from him earlier this year and it took a while to get because he had a surgery. It would be a major loss to the community if he was unable to continue, but I certainly wish him the best.

    My apologies for being unresponsive.
I'm recovering from a 2+week battle with a vicious & miserable flu or cold (Wasn't COVID).
I'm currently closed for Thanksgiving thru the weekend.
I'll be back at work Monday 2 DEC.
