Once again we agree. Now lets drop the budget a bit and look at cars around the $15k nzd or less. Thats like 5 aussie dollars. Have you driven a C36 AMG?
Really, can you share some of your experence please? I thought the auto might take away from the driving experence.
Lexus ISF (or at least IS250) or another interesting car i've driven lately.....575M Vectrix electric scooter?
You could probably get your hands on a decent Evo 5 for 15k, but they're not the comfiest cars around. Maybe one of the newer single turbo Legacy GTs? They seem like a decent bit of kit...
Thanks Horse, I have not driven one so your experence is valuable to me. I am suprised they are slow, reports I have read put them at 280hp which should have made for a reasonable amount of go. ISF is considerably more than I want to spend, I don't see the point in having a DD that owes over 15k, not at this point in my life anyway. Scooter would be sweet if I lived in a country that didn't rain every day. LOL!! From you personal collection? Is that you in the background? No interest in Evo's, not my cup of tea. Still, you are definitely along the right lines, I have not looked at Legacy single turbo's so will take a look on TM. I would, but finding a decent one in manual is a hard ask and will command more than the 15k. Whats the value of a good 968 in Aus?
I had a 1956 VW Beetle many years ago. I quite enjoyed driving it. That's probably more your style. You might recognise the location! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting, around the same time you posted that a 944 turbo was listed for sale on a local website, looks like a nice car but its done huge miles, 174000 to be precise, looks well maintained, a heap of records and the condition from looking at the photos looks very good. Any thoughts on a 944 turbo that's approaching 300k kms? I have to say, it looks very good. Link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=294610211
