    really want one
    iver been researching them for like a year now and i was wondering if anyone could tell me their own experience witht them ive met like two in my life time..I am curious to know what they are like. How their temperament, in general, compares with other types mastiff breeds. How trainable, health problems, etc

    I've only worked with one--a gorgeous young adult dog. I would describe him as aloof and stubborn, but in a confident way. He was a very cool dog and never the slightest behavioral issue. But that's only one dog.

    Not a great dog for a first time dog owner. They will require someone that is THE alpha in the house, they need to be trained and most importantly need to be properly socialized (dogs, babies, people etc). this is true of most hunter/protector type breeds.

    Cool dogs, but you have to work to make them that way.
