Made a verbal deal today on the following consignment vehicle and just looking for any information on the car beside what I spoke to the dealership about if possible. It seems to me they went through this car very well with the most recent service but anything else I can find out would be great.

The dealer can only pull service records from when the previous owner bought it in 2018 as their computer systems switched over and they serviced it from new so that's a bummer I cant retrieve them.

Can anyone recommend a good third party inspector or forum member who can check the car out before I head up there to purchase? Thanks to anyone for their input.

HBIAuto in Kernersville routinely works on Ferrari's and other exotics. They could do a PPI. Sport Auto in Summerfield is a Ferrari centric shop as well.

Only 1000 miles put on the car in 8 years? Am I reading the Carfax report right?

The ad says factory gated. Did I miss something?
I did see “serpentine belt replacement”. There is no serpentine belts on a 430

Factory gated ALWAYS have the Cavallino on the gated plate. At least that's how I see it on the original gated ones. The base also looks aftermarket, as is the lower center console and the shift knob ....

also, it could have been serviced at home (like mine will be) but there is no service history for 10k miles + ... I would pass.

This one is oem. The ones with the carbon shift knob have the shift pattern instead of the cavallino on the gate. When u run the vin, it comes up as an oem gated

The cars that came with the factory carbon shift knob had the shift pattern on the gated plate.

I stand corrected, didn't know that. But still, paying double for a factory manual gated.. I'd rather get a regular F430 AND a manual older 911 for track days.
Or wait, you can get a 458 for that money.... :)
    Horribly overpriced in my opinion.

Not that many options out there that can match the experience of the last gated midengined Ferrari. Sure, a converted 430 will scratch that itch at a lower price point, but for collectibility, it has to be oem. Even if objectively irrational, I do get satisfaction knowing mine is oem, and that’s all that really counts to a lot of people in the market

It does have an auxiliary belt at the very front of the engine. I am thinking that is what they are talking about, not a timing belt like the 360s.

Nice looking car, you won't be disappointed. I've enjoyed my 3 pedal since the day I took delivery in 2008, and I agree a conversion just doesn't cut it!

Appreciate everyones input and everyone entitled to their opinion on original gated or conversion. For me I wanted an all original car as I plan to keep it for my kids with the rest of my cars. Was able to acquire some more of the service records as well as the warranty service work over the years including manifolds so that helps. The dealer really went through this at the recent major so I will be picking it up tomorrow and excited to get that 3rd pedal.
