No, I've got brass ones to climb on this: 181hp, 355 lbs. Actually, they're not brass because I hardly ever open the throttle all the way. This thing's awesome. Thanks again, Art! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sherpa cooooooooool wheels. I have one too. (sort of) its a 1999 996. Not quite the same but I love it. Your 355 is really beautiful also. I was trying to look up info on the web for the Italjet Dragster but the info I was pulling up wasn't that clear. Maybe you could explain. I think it comes in 50cc/125cc/and180cc. Is this correct? I also got the feeling that the 180 isn't available here. Let me know, you have peaked my interest in these. They look like a blast and a great way to buzz around the neighborhood. Greg
A few years back, you could get the little 50cc Zuma, add a 70cc kit + some other mods, and get it up to 60 or 70... I've actually talked to a guy that took his 50cc Honda Spree, modded it up, and got it running 80+. They race those tiny scoots over in Hawaii apparently.
Greg, a 996 is a wicked bike. It's one of the best bikes ever made. The bike in the picure is a 998RS used by the Ducati team for the AMA Superbike Championship. It is pretty insane. As far as I know the Dragster that comes to the US is only available as a 50 cc but the 70 cc kit will get it to go 70 (like mine). Here are the specs: Engine type 1 cylinder, 2stroke Displacement 49 cc Bore X Stroke 40 mm x 39,2 mm Starter electric or kick start Clutch centrifugal / automatic Transmission continuos automatic (CVT) Cooling water cooled Front suspension SIS with single liquid-air shock absorber (an Italjet patent) Ignition electronic (CDI), 12V Rear suspension single centre hydraulic shock absorber (another Italjet patent) Electrical system 12V with battery Crash helmet compartment under the saddle Lenght 97.7 in Wheel alloy Width 26.8 in Front brake hydraulicdisc brake O 175 mm Saddle height 31.1 in Rear brake hydraulicdisc brake O 190 mm Wheelbase 48.8 in Tires front:120-70-11"/ rear: 140-60-12" Dead weight 214 lb Fuel capacity 1.87 gal The US importer has a site so you can always check it out there: www.modcycles.com
Got a SH125 here, 4 stroke scoot by Honda. wouldn't mind a Vespa GranTurismo 200. also got a CLR125, That's a cityfly, a learner motorbike with gears. A Varadero 125, this time a V-Twin 4 stroke, and a XLR 125, same engine as the CLR (Cityfly) but in an off road spec chassis, brakes, suspension etc. Need to do my test this year so I can make those bikes be R1 and hornets instead!
