Scott, I saw your post on FB. Nice bike! What is your background riding bikes? Every now and then I get the itch to take the class.

ha, I thought username came from Miata and BMW. :D

so you have a bunch of experience, that's great! I have zero motorcycle experience, my dad raced them MX and told me as a child NEVER to ride a motorcycle. :D Does bike racing, car racing, speed boats, and flying help? :)

I'm sure anyone can learn to ride if they are inclined. Owning fast cars is a plus - ya got to have some adrenaline running through your veins and somewhat of a lack of fear. Ha. I'm not sure I'm the best one to ask but I'd start off with something slow or borrow a buddy's beater and see if you like it. I know there are plenty of schools available to teach safety and basic skills. Like anything it takes time to develop reflexes and instincts. If you hit the street you got to assume every car will go out of it's way to hit you and you should be ready to rock. Btw, would enjoy meeting you in person sometime.

I'm 52. I'm going to enjoy the sport bikes as long as possible and probably pick up something else that's just comfortable to cruise around on.

Man I’m dying to get a mx bike! I’ve been tossing it around a lot lately.
Rode most of my life up to 20 years old. Worried I’ll brake a leg now and be out of work for a couple months because I was always wide open on an mx bike.
