Fellow M&A professional, Im an entrepreneur and am looking for a mentor/partner in my first acquisition of a public enterprise. I know next to nothing on the process, but I do know value when I see it. I just need someone to help me with the in's and outs. This February I tried to take a company private (CBEY) but was unable to raise the financing in time. Currently, that company is trading at 3x what I would have paid for it at the time. I am looking at a smaller deal right now (20 million in financing) but it could be sold off for 3 times that.
