For some reason, all the best Porsche's on-line seem to be in Texas. I live in San Francisco and I've come across this low mile 997 S Cabrio with a two-tone interior for a good price. I think the sales guy must not believe that I'm serious about buying it, since he hasn't called me back or e-mailed back in answer to my questions. I told him that I bought my F355 Spider sight-unseen from a dealer in Utah, and that I'm funded. You'd think that would get their attention.

If anyone could go have a look and snap a couple photos, it would be a huge help.

    Here's the listing.

The same car sold on ebay a few months ago. Tried to get in touch with the previous owner via ebay, but no response.

Believe it or not, this is planned to be the new "family car". My wife is pregnant, so I sold my Boxster S, and am replacing it with a 997 S. She doesn't drive, so the 997 will be "the car".

Sure! That's right down the road from me... PM me with details on what pictures you'd like and specifically any details that you'd like me to take a look at for you.

Thanks so much to Tyler. Another great example of a FerrariChat'er coming through for another.

It turns out that the car in question was already sold, but he was able to tell me details about it, even in a brief viewing, that the sales guy was never going to tell me about.

It's so nice having such a great network of car guys (and gals) across the country, and around the globe!
