That blog is definately written in a "scorched earth" style!

So, I would ask, what's his music like, and you would respond, ya know, he doesn't really like to define his music, blah blah

    so, any MP3's?

I am not in music but do work in entertainment, best advice is that a great manager is all you need and they will find you. From my experience if you are truly going to succeed you will have people crawling out of the woodwork to help you out in anyway. Simon Cowell summed it up best when he said "Brittney Spears is living proof that you can have a successful recording career without a voice or any talent whatsoever":D

MurcieMurcie, it is all about location location location... no great managers dont just poof appear... it does not happen that easily... sometimes it does but that is right place right time... this guy gigs more than anyone ive seen, ever..he playes atleast 3 gigs a week every week... he just does not promote himself well... ever hear of cross canadian ragweed? they recorded one of his songs.. lighthouse keeper. mike mcclure? he did as well. (flat rock/walking on the moon) http://www.macglue.net/walkingonthemoon.html which was in the top 20 range on the texas country music charts...(mcclures version) scott copeland is one of the best songwriters alive. he just has yet to catch his break... if any creditable manager heard him i am sure they would try to work something out with him... his only issue is where he fits... he is like a todd snyder.... not quite country and not quite tom petty enough to be rock... but groundbreaking... like say, dave matthews breaking into the alternative scene... he did not fit with that genre of music, but given a chance he forced the doors open because he had unquestionable ability, even if his sound was not along the lines of alternative music that was being played. nirvana, stp pearl jam, collective soul etc... this is scott... right now he just needs someone to give him or help him get a little public exposure... he has a catchy sound that is all his own. starting with vocals that are just, well scott... unique. not the best as far as singing but amazing with just you know, a groove. dylan hell, dave mathews , or todd snyder.. they are different but it works. so different that they stand out. would you like to hear a couple or 3 of his songs? here you go.

here is something that has the feel of willie. http://www.macglue.net/lastcallfortheblues.html

here is one that lyrically has genius stamped all over it. dylan would be proud to call this his. seriously.. listen to the lyrics... nothing short of brilliant... open mind you have to admit it is on par with dylan.
