Hi there I am a local producer and I am currently working on a documentary about sport bikes, european and exotic cars and anything else that goes fast. I am looking for anyone who is interested in appearing in a video with any of the above listed vehicles to let me know before December 3, 2004. If anyone is interested in driving for me or just have a question you want to ask please feel free. I can accomidate any schedule. If you would like to do some driving there is an organized event on Dec. 5, 2004. It is a charity drive but after the toys are handed out we can go have some fun. This will be a fun event and its for charity so come on and ask me for the details. Thanks to all.

I'd want to hear your approach first before I committed, how much time, what's the theme etc. What kind of shots etc. I know from First hand how difficult it is to video from one of these. A member of our group has made one good video.

First The amount of time you want to spend on this is whatever you would like. If you want to just do a couple of drive by shots then thats fine. If you want to go on the charity event thats fine too. Whatever you are really comfortable with. Dont let me stop you from going out to the country and doing a 190mph thing with me though. I can accomidate anyone be it 3 in the morning or at 5pm. My theme is a documentary of the lifestyle of the people who love basically guns, girls, cars, bikes and everything else a guy could like. Just how we live and what we do. Be it getting in trouble or just being normal on the roads. There are several different approaches Im taking however. I like to get alot of group stuff but also I like to get just a couple of guys going out to have some fun on the freeways or you know standing on a street corner and a ferrari just passes through at 100+. It IS difficult to make these videos but I think if make this an objective look at what we do, it might begin to repair the damage that fast and the furious did. Seriously though, if you want to do like a 30 minute shoot im fine with that. If you want to go out to the country for some top speed runs that is all good. Just let me know

    Ezra.....

I think you may have scared off a few people with "100+ on video" as none of us here doing things like that ;) I'm sure you would get more input and interest if people here knew this wasn't just another "street racer" video. Talk....we'll listen, everyone here loves there cars and loves to share them with others!!!

If you are going to make a video that people are going to want to watch, it needs to tell some kind of a story. Even the Fast and the Furious had a meager plot. Documentaries even tell a story. You need to do what every good filmmaker does, and that is come up with a story and a story board of scenes that you'ld like to capture. You need to also come up with some type of screenplay or commentary before you ever turn on your camera.

Once you've done that, you're now ready to sit down with those of us that can help you with our cars, and make a proposal to us. I'm sure there would be no-end of suggestions for content. You then need to come back with your revised proposal and get buy-in and support for what you want to do.

If you do this, you are likely to have something people will want to watch.

Making films is hard work, but worth it if its done right.

    That's my .02 worth.

I might make another suggestion. Join the club and come out to some of the events like this weekend. You'll get to see a bunch of cars and meet the people who own them. If your looking for contacts with exotic owners I can't think of a much better way!!

Hey I really appreciate everyones help, advice, criticism and everything. You are totally right on the money there. This is my first REAL solo project and I appreciate you guys letting me know whats up. I would love to come out this weekend! What where when how and all that would be needed though. I have a couple of ideas that might be cool so I could run them by you guys at the event. But yeah if its all right with everyone I would love to come out if nothing else to drool over some of the most beautiful cars in the world. Again thanks for all the advice and if anyone has any more ideas I am totally open for suggestions. Oh and I was kidding about the 100+ thing I just meant I was open for whatever you guys wanted to do. Ok thanks again guys...Oh and how do I go about joining the club?

Yes, you have to be a club member to attend official club events. Unless you're a member's guest.
