http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=1360&sort=1&cat=11&page=1 I drove out to see it yesterday and to put it politely this car is not at all as described in this ad or from when it was on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COLLECTORS-GARAGE-KEPT-SMOKE-FREE-HIGH-PERFORMANCE_W0QQitemZ220003926336QQihZ012QQcategoryZ6212QQcmdZViewItem Within the first 5 minutes this is what I noticed; the front header panel (area between the headlights) was rippled and had a crease in the metal, numerous rock chips and scrapes on the front bumper and louvers, the left rear quarter panel was a shade lighter than the rest of the car, has a lot of swirling scratches on the rear deck, the left rear tire had excessive outer tread wear, drivers' side mirror mount broken, exhaust cover louvers snagged and bent, positively has an oil leak! This is a perfect example of how one can be misled and that it's best to see a car in person beforehand (reputable dealers excluded). I wouldn't pay $25,000 for it. If anyone is still interested please PM me for an unbiased opinion (and let me save you some travel $$$)
Those kind of people ought to be banned from this site, if there are going to represent a car so falsely---but instead someone will be banned for saying doo doo or something...
I drove to Mandeville to look at it yesterday, arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 PM and it wasn't listed on eBay at the time. It's last eBay listing ended on 7/13/2006 If bought cheaply it'd be a nice project car
Not sure what you mean by that... The guy said on the phone and in two ads that the car was essentially "perfect". Hopefully my experience with this one will help out another potential buyer.
Thanks for the heads up, Wade. In my business I run into misrepresented cars every week and it really frustrates me when I have to travel a good distance to find out that the car is crap!
