I am helping my brother look at a Panoz in Dorval,Quebec. The car was made according to the dealer for Canadian DOT SPECS;(differnt than a USA car going over then coming back).I have verified such with the factory here in Atlanta; he say there is NO need to federalize as the bumpers(tougher in Canada) running lights and emissions are all the same as US specs; and that there is NO tariff due b/c of NAFTA.....so how hard is it to get it here then?

My further concern is how hard is it to get your state DMV to change the title from another country to a USA(Georgia) title; I am sure its done all the time. Thnx, dogdoc

You will be best to use an importer with experience, there is a lot of paperwork. There are a lot of these things for sale, you really need to be buying that one cheap from Canada to make up for all the money you will spend.

For example, you will need all of the Federal stickers under the hood on the car, and prove they are there.

Ive brought 6 cars in from the US. Sounds like even more beaurocracy the other way. Sorry to hear that.
