Anyone know of a 575 6-speed for sale?

A buddy is looking for a 575 6-spd in corsa rossa/black, rossa/tan, or silver/black.

Miles not important because it will be driven often. Some flaws are fine. But it needs to have service records and no bad history.

As usual, price dependent on miles/condition. He'd like to be under $90k.

Ferrari of Ontario has one.

 

These cars are very rare, only 246 gated cars manufactured.......and getting one for under $90K will be a very long hunt at that price.

 

would color & miles are less important - history & options are.

a Florida car would make my search a lot easier..

 

What will he have to spend?

Does anyone in the US of any at any price?

 

This one sold at Fantasy Junction in a matter of a week after it was listed, The asking price was $105 I believe.

It seems that a gated 575 has a premium over an F1 now.
I did buy an 04 575 gated car last year out of Dallas, for $90K to be honest with you.
That was a deal at the time, but I tracked that car for close to 3 years........original asking price was $157K when I talked to the owner in 2007(Beverly Hills) and it ended up at 4 different dealers before I offered $90K when they were originally asking about $115K at the last dealer that I bought it from.
I wish I did not sell my gated 575, but I know the new owner who ended up with my old car and it is back in Calgary now.

For a car that had a MSRP of $225K++, $90K is a super deal on any of these 575's, whether F1 or gated.

Lots of misinformation on this thread, truth be told. Most of the 575s mentioned here are either long-sold or are not 3-pedal 575s.

Michael Sheehan DID have a Grigio Alloy gated 575 but it was sold a ways back in the $100k range and was just offered again somewhere on the east coast. It was being offered at $92k if memory serves. No idea whether it has changed hands but the posting(s) are down now.

The Grigio Alloy 6-gated 575 (yes, another one. Crazy, right?) that was at Fantasy Junction also recently sold because I was there a week ago and was told that directly by Bruce himself.

Personally, I know of no other gated 575s avail in the US but would love to stand corrected if you lot know of any.

am I understanding correctly that this color does not resell easliy? seem to recall reading in the blues thread that someone had trouble selling a car attributing the problem to Grigio (two years on the lot was the quote)

 

Life happened, Ferris. Had a rough patch last year on both a personal and professional level that took a while to unwind. Put my Ferrari plans on hold.

Color is very subjective, of course, but I suppose it would be safe to assume that Grigio Alloy is an "acquired taste" for many as relates to 575s and not as safe as other color combos if resale is a serious factor in one's Ferrari purchase.

This is purely speculation but given how few gated 575s were produced -- and how even fewer were produced in the rare Grigio Alloy color -- it seems disproportionate how many gated 575s that have been offered publicly for sale as of late were in Grigio Alloy. Perhaps those in more "sellable" colors (rosso corsa, grigio titanio, TdF blue, etc) sold so quickly that they rarely became public knowledge. Again, pure speculation but a fair assumption I would reckon.

Nice, 'no stories' gated 575s are so hard to find that color shouldn't tank a deal unless the buyer found that color truly objectionable. I might be in the minority here but assuming an apples-to-apples comparison in terms of condition, price, mileage and service history I would happily live with a Grigio Alloy 575 if my more preferred choices -- Grigio Titanio, Argento Nurburgring, etc - were not available to me.

that puts it in perspective. I see F1s in abundance & personally think a proper front engine V12 should have a gated six speed. Urban legend has it under 300 were produced which seems to narrow the field of cars dramatically. I personally like Grigio with the right contrasting interior but Ferrari culture has its idiosyncracies.

I now get why you guys have the coolest club on F chat. I drove a 550 yesterday and it is a monster. The gate is the only way to go. Got some serious thinking to do. Bill

Saw this ad on Tuesday & called the dealer. Wednesday morning I called back, negotiated the price and gave the dealer a 5k deposit on the car subject to acceptable PPI.
Arrange to have visual inspection by a reliable party for Thursday, buy a rather expensive plane ticket for Monday for personal inspection, PPI at Continental for Tuesay.

Yesterday at lunchtime I get an email asking me to call the dealer - the sales manager tells me that they have sold the car to another buyer on Friday for more money.

"just the fact ma'am"

Draw your own conclusions.

 

I haven't found any silver/black yet, but with winter coming I think some more will come up for sale.

 

That car is heading our way, small world. We really thought the dealer was bluffing about another buyer to push the deal through.

I guess a deposit isn't worth anything... I wouldn't want any dealings with a dealer with such low standards - sell it off when they have taken a deposit on it, shame on them! You are even out the airfare... sorry. Isn't a verbal agreement binding unless a stated contingency nulls it? You probably have better things to spend your time on, but I think you could claim the difference between your negotiated price and what they sold it for while you had a deposit on the car, pending your inspection and PPI. If you like playing, couldn't you take them to small claims court?
