I understand that QV in London make excellent exhaust manifolds for 355. I am looking for a pair for a 1999 355. I understand that the earlier and later 355s use different exhaust manifolds.

Anyway, a pair from QV in London costs 1100 British Pounds, or $2100. That's more than I'd like to spend. Anyone have any ideas? I'd be interested in used parts :)

Oh, and if anyone knows of any used Tubi exhaust manifolds, I'd be interested in those too.

    For my fellow 348ers: I do NOT own a 355! :)

I think it will be nearly impossible to find used QV manifolds for a 355 - once rebuilt they don't break! You'll need to find a wrecker.

Another alternative is to find used stock manifolds that need rebuilding. I believe the price from QV is much lower if you have a stock part to exchange. I have a driver side manifold from my '98 355 that needs rebuilding. I just replaced it with a stock part but kept the old part for a future QV rebuild. I suppose I could part with it now if you had an immediate need. Give QV a call and see what the exchange value is.

    Thanks for your response.

I'm confused: the guy on the phone at QV in London quoted me the above price while at the same time saying that I have to send in my original exhaust manifolds.

I didn't realize it was so expensive with an exchange. A new factory part is $2650 for one side, and they are quoting $1050 to refurbish a single side. I have heard that they occasionally have one 'on the shelf' that does not require an exchange, anyone know what they charge for that?

I have a set of nearly brand new headers from a 355. Taken off at 7,000 miles from 1997 vehicle. Absolutley perfect, no cracks. Make me an offer. I have pics if you need them.

You can buy the rebuilt QV (Quicksilver) headers through Evans automotive in Ohio. I just bought a pair from them yesterday. Cost is 1995.00 for EACH manifold, with a core exchange deposit of 1000.00 for EACH manifold. I spoke with Quicksilver and that is what they quoted me also, 4000.00 for the pair. Larini will rebuild each manifold for 668.00 EACH, but you have to ship the manifolds to them; 4 week turnaround. You save a lot of money, but car storage for 1 month could be a problem if a shop is doing the work.
