    Rob,

CLS is an upscale Limo company that has service in most major cities and NYC. I'm pretty sure they're the ones that have a Phantom in NYC (it's been mentioned on the spotter's thread). Here's the link...

from what i understand, the St. Regis uses the CLS phantom (vanity plates read CLS 66 or something like that) pretty much full-time. st. regis outsources their car services to CLS. if your friend and his wife stay at the st. regis, the Phantom is available free of charge to bring them anywhere within a certain-block radius in Manhattan, provided it's. it sounds like they're looking to actually have the car for the day, though, so i'm not sure how that would work. perhaps CLS has more than one phantom though.

In the same regard the Mandarin Oriental has a Maybach which is also available to those who are staying at the Hotel. You may want to call both of these establishments to get further details...especially during this time of the year.

    Dear Rob,

I believe the website isn't up yet, however there is a new company called 'Madison Chauffeur Service' (www.madisoncs.com) that's launching in the next few hours. They're run by very cool former f-chatter, and they're getting a silver '04 Phantom. I believe rates are in the $325/hour range.

In case you didn't get that URL (not up yet), you can find the website here:

    Rolls Royce Phantom Limo Company

    Your friend,

    --Noah

ps -- CLS, MLS, and the other companies that have Phantom's do not have them available for "hire", as was pointed out with the St. Regis mention.

For guests at the hotel. I would guess that CLS is contracted specifically for those duties alone and "not for hire" outside of the hotels clientele.
