Those are carbon brakes. Totally different than the street cars.
Why use Movit when there are actual racing brake companies out there. I'm surprised they even have a carbon brake kit. But I wouldn't trust their engineering over Brembo or AP.

OK I just read the right up from the link. It says they are Carbon Ceramic not just Carbon and these are good at below freezing temperatures. I have seen the Brembo's come apart and "time out". No reports from anything I can find that the movits do that because of the way they are made. They appear to be made by a more "solid" process then the Brembos'. The Brembo's look like they are pressed together like particle board. Here is a picture of a Brembo rotor missing pieces and one that is broken. I do not want that, which is why i wanted to talk to the team that owns this car with the MovIt's.

The Brembo missing the small pieces is worn out common failure after extended track use or thermal cycling. The broken one is obviously caused be damage from impact and is not a thermal failure or fatigue failure. Regardless of brand the carbon and carbon ceramic rotors do fail due to thermal cycling generally 5K-10K of very hard track use. The way in which they fail does vary. Composite types (look like pressboard as you put it) flake as your first two pictures indicate. Ground type (smooth basalt type finish) tend to crack and are more prone to catastrophic failures as they do not give any outward appearance of failures until they fracture. This usually occurs because peaple do not want to replace them at a time or mileage interval and try to get every last bit out of the rotors. The Ferrari have a wear algorithym that is built into the dash which looks at ambient temperature, vehicle speed, braking G force and time between applications and mileage to calculate brake rotor wear and it is very acurate. Street cars go along way on these rotors but the algorythm is in there.
