Any experience around here with P.J.'s Auto World in Clearwater? It's on the west side of Tampa Bay, north of St. Pete. Looking from afar at a car there (not a Ferrari) and would appreciate any observations from the Florida Gang. Many thanks guys!

I don't have any first hand experience with them, but they (or their predecessors) have been at this location for a while. This is only about 20 minutes from my house and I would be glad to look at a vehicle for you and take some pics if this would help you out.

No first hand experience, but I was just there last Friday to look around. They have a lot nice old cars. What one where you looking at? They had both a Ferrari and Porsche replica. Good luck.

They have two locations 2-3 miles apart from each other. This may have changed but at the time it cost $500 dollars to drive a car. As I remember it they give the money back when the car comes back okay. You can sit in the cars along as a salesman is with you.

I have looked at several cars there and seriously considered buying them. They seemed like good people to me and very knowlegeable about the cars. There prices were good on several and high on a few.

And as someone else said they have been there along time.

    Good luck whatever you do

    Regards

    Lee

Many thanks for all the helpful feedback guys. The game is still afoot and now I'm looking for a high quality shop in the area familiar with street rods who can do a thorough PPI. Any suggestions will be most helpful and greatly appreciated.

You central Florida guys are obviously a pretty good bunch.....

I was just talking to a guy the other day about PJ's

He said they have a third location a few miles south of the two locations on Gulf to Bay Blvd. At this third location, they have a huge hunk of land and do a lot of volume in normal used cars.

I just thought it was interesting, because I asked him how they were doing in the slow economy....I had no idea they had a bigger shop to generate cash flow, and support their two classic and muscle car showrooms.

My neighbor just put his 1982 Zimmer Golden Spirit up for consignment at PJ's. I think he originally bought it from them when it was new. So they seem to have a good history with their local customer base.
