everyone knows me here on the chatline.

at this point,we are waiting for fed ex to return the part that got damaged.

no one knows who broke the horse.maybe you or fed ex...

since it was a day later that fed ex got it back and not on the spot at delivery , they canot say who is responsible of the damage... you could have dropped it !

but ,fed ex is ok with proceding the claim to the dept.we are waiting for fed ex to re-deliver the package.

i have offered to send you another one to my charge.usually, insurance of shipping pays for these issues...i offered to send another one.

so,either you take another one and it will leave this week,or wait and see where the claim goes.

    Steve,

Nice to finally hear from you after several weeks.

Look at the other thread. Another person you sent a horse to had it arrive broken also.

Forget even thinking about that I broke it. I did not. I contacted you via your cell phone minutes after opening it. Take responsibility...... Fedex is not delivering it back to you. . They sent it back to me. It is in many pieces in a box in my garage. Further, did you get insurance for it? I was told you didn't. Why are you waiting for them?

According to Fedex, It has been weeks and you haven't even filled out to file a claim.

    I don't want another because:

    1. I think it would be almost impossible to ship it without breaking and we will be dealing with the same problem.
    2. There are no mounting brackets and it will crack if anyone tried to install any.
    3. It smells of vapors because the paint isn't baked on.

Why don't you just return my money and do the right thing?

Post in the other thread so we don't get two threads going on this.

Shouldn't this thread be confined to PM's or emails perhaps. Airing dirty laundry like this wheather it's deserved or not doesn't really sound too professional, and just doesn't belong here.

    Joel,

It does belong here. People have a right to know who they are dealing with. That is one advantage of the internet and this board specifically.

Further, if you read the other thread you would see I was very patient and worked within the PM system until I thought it appropiate to warn others. Most have been thankful for the info.

So, why the thumbs down? You don't think people deserve to know?

I deal with Steve on a fairly regular basis..never have I had an issue. He does indeed try his best to please people. He may be in the process of resolving the issue with the shipper, and is not posting until he finds out what his recourse is. I'm quite sure you will both come to an agreement which will please both parties. I realize it has been a long time for you have heard back from him, but he will come through.

We hear alot of one sided stories regarding things of this nature, and usually its the person who feels wronged making the post. We have seen many times on this forum how a post like this can backfire, and even lead to criminal charges being laid. I'm NOT saying that this is the case with you, but its more of a general observation.

I'm sure that Steve would not have packaged a broken product and sent it to you. If this did indeed break in shipping, its really the shippers fault and they should do somthing on their end to fix it. Granted the product is VERY fragile, but even if the box is marked as such, it does not mean that the directions were followed by the people whom have handled the package.

I have seen with my own eyes how fragile products are handled..basicly they are treated with no less care then a block of iron. Couriers keep thier employment by keeping delivery quotas. If they do not meet the quotas they can lose their job.

If you put a person behined the wheel of a delivery truck, pay them 15 bucks an hour, but expect a huge amount of work for that wage..then things are not going to be cared for as they should. Do you realize that each and every truck has a GPS system on it? And that if that truck is stationary for more then 10 minutes, the driver recives a call from dispatch asking what they are doing? They must punch in that they are going for lunch, breaks etc..their time is monitored all day. If a driver is running late, he's not going to take the time to be careful with every package on the truck.

Things break in shipping all the time. I'm sure the courier company will help out. Steve has also offerd to send you another product at his cost. Hopefully this will end happily for the 2 of you.

Yes, what a mess. I do expect someone to get back to me within a week or so. I don't think that is unreasonable. Please read my first post in the other thread and see how patient I was. I let weeks go by when it was supposed to be shipped the very next day.

Second, I understand what your saying about the shipper. Except there was no way this piece was going to make it the way it was packaged. It wouldn't have survived any shipper, so I'm a bit reluctant to put the burden on them. If you have seen them, then you know what I mean. Picture the piece sandwiched between two 1/4" boards wrapped in bubble wrap. The thing was sliding around.

I fear that shipping these would end in the same fate.

Thanks for your reply and I hope the same.
