Another one is mine #00308. Congrats for your great find and I thank you for the detailed restoration history that you've posted until now (17 pages through three years read with increasing admiration). As per a letter from the factory, our cars were produced in the month of November 1968 and for some reason the issue of the Certificate of Origin was delayed to the first working day of the year 1969. -------------------- p.s. My car was re-imported in Italy from USA in the year 1989 and I bought it in March 1994. I know the full Italian history but nothing for the years 1969-1989 spent in the USA. I've only the last N.Y. State registration number, but I don't know if I can post it in the forum.
Do you know if these nine 206GT had serial chassis numbers? Eventually from #00306 to #00322, as #00304 was delivered in Italy. Thanks in advance.
I had a harness EXACTLY like that from my aunt racing cars in the early 70's. I'll have to see if I can find it..
getting closer to the finish line.... I will show the car next year in Essen at Techno Classica (15th until 19th of April 2015) Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a long way from eBay!!! Matthias, this car has led an amazing life to date. I imagine it has amazing stories to tell and even better ones to come. Shawn
Fantastic ! And so good to see. It warms this car enthusiat's heart. And I can remember when I saw it on ebay and kind of scoffed. I'm so happy you have it. Well done sir.

Übercool Matthias.....Congratulation with the excellent result stripes centered or not! Regards Peter
How wonderful and the lights look fantastic. Just as an aside for those who may be wondering why those lights are positioned as they are it is because in endurance racing they are referred to as 'apex lights'. The headlights are used to light the road and the apex lights are angled to illuminate the edge of the road so that the driver can better see the apexes of the corners thereby allowing him to better position his car in the darkness. I have had an issue in the past with intermittent apex lights in an endurance race at Spa Francorchamps in the middle of the night and believe me they make a huge difference to a drivers ability to accurately place their car.
