Tommy, first class, well done.... I agree on the roof sticker... ribbon needs to be shrunk and moved slightly inside the circle, "PH" a little bit smaller and more in the middle... Regarding the Marchal covers for the additional head lights, the Marshal script is white in a red bar... The front indicator glasses have been white original, not orange and no gas cap lid on the co-driver side...
Thanks...Will have them make the changes...This was done by my friend Mike Quarterman who does graphics for all the Japanese model companies.
It should be out in a few months from Studio 27, Japan(designed by UMI in the USA and printed in Italy by Cartograf). It is designed to fit the Fujimi 1/24th scale plastic kit also from Japan. Mike is making all the changes you noted. If you want him to do the 1/1 artwork for your car I can give you his contact email.
that sounds great, please keep me posted.... I guess the 1/1 artwork needs to be done in two years from now (hopefully..), I will come back to you if anything is needed.. thank you very much for your help!
#01266 has three elastic bands. One, as all Dino have, in the front compartment under the spare wheel to hold wheel chock. The other two smaller ones, all M-series and early E-series have original outside the fiberglass bay for the spare wheel, towards the radiator, to hold the jack and the breakdown triangle. One of the two small ones is missing on #01266 and the other two aren`t in good shape any longer... Are these available or do exist good reproductions? after a break of more than two month I continued with the dismantling of #01266 this week.... In the left corner of the boot I found the original jack cap and the jack rubber knob... In the right corner I found one Belgian Franc stamped 1969 and and a nut you normally find with the battery lid or to fix the fuse board. To me this looks like the original nut to fix the Dinoplex cover at the top end. See also a picture of the bolt for the Dinoplex cover. Good find! I agree that's the battery cover knurled knob, bigger bolt size, than the air cleaner ones, should have a groove machined, for a C clip?? They are held captive to the cover, by the clip.
different to the usual green on white, it`s yellow on white these markings were put on at the factory after testing of the springs and marked being ok Image Unavailable, Please Login
I reckon none of them on a Dino had writing originally and as folks replaced missing jack caps with alfa romeo ones... we got confused.
correct.... bigger size (late version) with writing, but scraped off (I have three original ones, all the same) small size (early version) no writing ... (I have four original ones, all the same) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
