The cars were being transported from Norway to France.
Both seems pretty accurate... Chris, i can't see any photoshop foul play in the pictures you posted... Care to tell us what you did...?
Not really up on my Pagani Zondas so what is the difference in the orange and red Zondas? Or are the colors just playing tricks on my eyes, the rear hatches and fenders look different. Almost like the red is a convertible rather than a hardtop???
Oh My GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! What the H*ll!! That is AMAZING. Got to be one of the most Incredible pictures I've EVER seen!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it's Halloween and those are just costumes on the Dodge Neons?
Ok, the story is this: You've all heard about Thor Johannessen, if not do a search, the Norwegian who owns 50 Ferraris or whatever. He found out he wanted to sell some of his cars, and the only Norwegian exotic cardealer, Autostrada, were having a 10 year anniversary, so they got together and Autostrada is showing of fancy cars and Thor is selling cars. Worth to mention is that Thor don't like to drive fast cars (!) and that he hasn't even driven his Koenigsegg once!! His cars are solely for display and are seated at a castle in France for whomever wants to see it. He has no passion for supercars, he only got the money to own them, and therefore he is buying whatever he finds just because he can, however he loves his pagani zonda. Why he want's to sell his zonda f is therefore unknown to me. Hope this clears some of the worst theories behind the pictures as I can confirm 99,9% that this is the real story behind the pictures (read from several newspapers, Norwegian forums and from people who work in the company who transported the cars.)
http://www.autostrada.com/ in the news section, they mention "...Pagani Zonda, Lamborghini Murcielago/Gallardo, Ferrari F40/F50, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin..." Anyone care to translate the rest?
I can see unloading a Murcie, AM, F50 and F40. But the Koenigsegg and two Zonda's? Sounds like someone needs some cash.. those cars are built to order.
Well, I checked the tax reports (here in Norway the government put all tax payers income and fortune on the internet for free searching for 3 weeks once a year) and I don't think he needs any carsales to get around, unless he is going to buy a flying castle or whatever. And second he said he wanted to specialize his collection even more, but why he is keeping his 6 testarossas and varius 360' and selling his one of 40 zonda f i really don't know then. He is a weird man that Thor, buying 2 castles and 88 sport/supercars in just a few months, and now he wants to specialize his car collection by selling his special cars and keeping his more common ones...unless he sold those too at the car auction he held at his castle earlier this year.
Here's some instore "for sale" pics of the cars with lots of other less exciting cars, be sure to check the prices which are sky high with norwegian tax (eg. zonda f 700 000£: http://www.autostrada.com/utvalg.php Alternatively click here http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/browse1/;pdc=1130671368729? to see these and some other exotic cars for sale in Norway as well. (zonda and koenigsegg click on the link and then click bottom-right where it says "andre" which means "other".
Thats right guys, the cars is now for sale here in Norway(!!!), I WILL go and check 'em out one day. Bo's right.... This is a famous Norwegian wine-guy living in France, and I read a story about him last summer in the newspaper and actually had 80+ Ferrari. The sad thing about this is most of his cars have never been driven, the F50 has only 10 KM on the odometer.... Hei Bo og velkommen til Ferrarichat....qlt å se andre normenn her Jeg var faktisk i Tr.Heim sist helg, fin by, jeg var der som følge av en konsert de hadde på Bybroen.
How is that Pagani is more expensive than the Koenigsegg CCR, and beyond that DOUBLE that of an F50~!!!!!!!!!!!
I can understand why the CCR is very expensive, it has 800+ HP, and HP is VERY expensive when it comes to the taxes. The Zondas have only 80 HP more than the F50, so why they are so damn expensive, I dont know, but I'll figure it out.
Sorry for speaking Norwegian people, but I feel I can't greet a fellow Norwegian in English, just doesn't feel right. I think the zondas may be so expensive because first of all they are much newer than the f50, originally very expensive and probably more rare than the f50, at least the zonda f... That's the only possible reasons I can come up with.
Hei igjen Bo. Det er riktig som du sier, en Ferrari i Norge er et meget sjeldent syn, jeg leste et sted at pr. Juni 04 så var det 137 regga Ferrarier i Norge. Jeg bor i Sarpsborg og heter egentlig Pål I've been invited to this dealer in Oslo tomorrow, but sadly I cant make it but maaaaaybe my wife will go there and take 1658764 pix of the cars, and who know's maybe a couple of VINs too All the cars you'll see on the truck is stored in a showroom in Oslo, exept for the sliver Diablo VT. So HOPEFULLY I'll post a bunch of pix here tomorrow eve.....it all depends on my wife (maybe I should go out and buy her some flowers now????) LOL
Ok 1. Anyone have pictures of this guy's collection? If he displays his collection and castle to the public freely, I'd think there'd be a variety of media on this site by now. 2. Anyone know why the F40 and F50 are being sold for such high prices? I thought the going rate for a nice F50 was in the $500k range and F40's closer to $300k. 3. Is Koenigsigg having any copyright issues with their new band-- er, car, the CCR? (Creedance Clearwater Revival?-haha)
