It had a major completed 10 years ago (says the seller) and has around 1000 miles on it since then. No matter what, this car needs an immediate engine out and probably all new rubber everything as well as some serious TLC.

I can't find anything searching on the VIN, but since all black panels were painted including the engine cover, there looks to be a battery tender hanging out of the rear, and it has 355 seats, I would think someone around here might know the car.

The reason I ask is that the mileage is very low for the condition and while the Autocheck comes back clean, the last two mileage entries are backwards. It's like 20,500 for the last and 20,700 for the previous.

    Thanks,
    John

A couple hundred miles transposed on a carfax is nothing to worry about. this car IMO is pretty beat for 20K miles. I mean you kinda have to work hard to get the interior to be that beat up in that few miles. I'm not implying the miles are wrong, but the car was not shown much love IMO. I picked up my 348 about 12 months ago for a little less and in better condition. That was pretty much the bottom of the curve for 348 apparently.

ZOOWHO's car isn't worth his asking price IMO.

I'm not worried about a car that needs work and TLC. I like getting to know my cars. I do want cars that are honest though.

There was one sold recently where the person selling it said ~2 years since the last major, but I found old posts here with mileage mentioned where it would be ~4 years. Big difference in price for a car that needs a major in 2 years compared to immediate.
