http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4605581939&fromMakeTrack=true Resprayed, new seats, different rims...hmmm? Looks really nice though. Buy-it-now way too much in my opinion. Does this car look like it matches those miles? -Mike
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-348-TB-RARE-HARD-TOP_W0QQitemZ4603199745QQcategoryZ6212QQcmdZViewItem Same car - note that "buyer" got good feedback from him but car is relisted. Thanks for the post from previous owner.
Oooh. I didn't see that. What freaking SCAMMER. Trying to raise the price by having a buddy (or himself with an alias) bid it up. I would call him up and just tell him that you won't go through his B.S. auction as it's clear he's rigging it but that you're genuinely interested in the car if he gives you a straight price and cuts though his B.S. My $.02.
Too many mods for my OEM lovin self. Looks nice though. Maybe if it was in the low low 40s I would consider it. The mere fact that I see this unethical bidding makes me hands off on this one.
I would say 'pass'. What's up with using old pictures??? I smell fish and am nowhere near the fish market. BT
What old pictures? They are from November, is that old? If Wes used to own the car, it should be in good condition unless the new owners have messed it up.
Check out the previous thread. The car has some race history. It looks like an '93 SS with challenge kit installed. Check the vin #. Only 32 tb's were made in '94 and all were factory cahllenge's. If it's a '94 there should be a # plate somewhere. Regardless, for the right price looks like a good car. If previous thread is right about condition and miles. I bought a '94 challenge that had some race history. ('96 series, 5 races, no wrecks) I have no regrets. Great car. I would worry only about current owner/seller.
Ferrari did make a series of "Challenge" designated cars in 1994, but they did make 222 coupes as well. I have a 1994 Challenge car right now, and no where on the car does it say Challenge on any type of factory identification. The car was a stock 1994 348 TB, converted by the dealer to "Challenge" specs (That's how it was done up to the 360 series), raced in the Challenge series, then converted back to stock, he added the SS parts them because he liked them and money was no objest for him at that time. The current owner is right, when the car left me it ran extremly well. However in my opinion the car needs a new rear subframe, and the repaint of black to red was not too sellable if you asked me. I had a hard time selling the car, and I was glad that it was gone when it left.
I'm not terribly interested. Respray is an issue I am not dealing with. Also, way too much non OEM on it. The price is out of the ball park too. The A/C is now dead as of a few days ago according to new owner. What did you sell it for approxamately SofSA?
seats, respray paint, converted to challenge then unconverted, tracked, steering wheel, rims, dead A/C (from an email from him).
....If all the original components came with the car - that would be one thing. To go back to orig however would add up pretty quick!
