Seems reasonably priced, but passenger door damage a question mark - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4525090032&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Thanks - Greg Moore
Can't say anything about the car other than "minor accident with tree" doesn't seem possible However, do a search here on the dealership. I think I've seen quite a few opinions on the place that you might want to consider first. -R
At that up front price, I can pretty much guaranty a long tale about that accident from the dealer....I'm sure there are no records, no services and no ability to contact the previous owner to verify the accident damage (at least via the dealer). BTW, did you guys see that shift knob?
Looks immaculate except for the missing right hand engine cover. Also, there does not appear to be the embossed logo on the headrests... leather refit? that gear knob's got to go....
As mentioned - it is a 6 speed not a 5 speed... Most 355's - did not have the embossed logo on the headrests - I belive this was an option in later cars... Most 95 - 97's did not have them - not sure when they became available. Minor door damage with a tree - as mentioned - this seems a little vague... So a car was wrecked - and only hit a small portion of the door? Seems a little unlikely. And of course we are all glad their expert technican's inspected this - and that is the only area that seemed affected... Of course it is... I would really look deep into this - the hardest Ferrari to ever resell is one that has an unknow accident history... I would try to find out about it - and if you can't - I would personally pass on this car. That is my 2 cents anyway...
Must just be in Hong Kong then. All the hardtops here have the embossed headrests. Only the spiders don't have them.
After extensive research and meticulous examination by our top technician we find the only thing on the car is that the bottom of the passenger side door was refinished professionally and not un-professionally????? you get what you pay for..... Tubi, challange grill , red calipers and THIS GEAR KNOB??? Image Unavailable, Please Login
My gut feel is that this is too good to be true. For a 98, it seems priced too far below market to be suspicious. And yes, my kids and I had a good laugh at that gear knob ! Thanks for verifying for me - Greg
that panel is missing because that's where you hook up the leads to the battery charger in order to get it outside andtake these fantastic pics.
Isn't it amazing how simply stunning just about any 355 looks when posted on a website? I'm sure if you where there in person, all the marks from the 10 foot poles would show very easily.... Dave
