ya, his name is Dave. Good guy, a little pretentious and thinks his exhaust don't stink.

 

I don't know the owner, but if Rick knows him, I'd say that is the bargain of the year as long as the title is really clean! Go for it! It is a Euro car, but it is out of warranty anyway so I think the US / Euro version is not as important. Still a 2000MY 6 speed spider for under $100k with fairly low miles? Better act quick, this thing will be sold by lunch....

I don't personally know the car, but based upon the pictures, IMO, it looks pretty well ragged out to me.

The seats (worn & cracked), the engine bay (look at the intake piece under the airboxes), carpet (dirty & the mats look filthy), toolkit (looks like mold/mildew on it), and the center console (look at the rear view mirror adjuster), all look like the car was run hard & put away wet...........and if that's not enough the Formula 1 license plate frame should give you the shudders knowing where the car came from, and how quickly you should run....................... But, I guess if you're willing to accept all that, then go for it.......it's YOUR money.

Make sure you do it somewhere that they have the SDII computer, and know how to use it.

I still think it is a good deal.
I don't mind the clean up, my car was kind of 'needy' when I got it.

Thanks guys. I didn't get it. I emailed him asking for a phone call and received an email back from him a day and half later. By the time I saw the email, the car was gone. I asked him to call me if the deal falls through.

Back to the search. Let me know if one stumbles across another "deal". I'm looking local again. Might spend a little more, but at least I can check the car out.
