Curious if anyone knows this car. Its in Canada. Look close and you'll see its another car that has the wrong size TRX tires installed. http://www.autabuy.com/Gallery/?ID=223047&ShowAdSense=1&K=1981%20FERRARI%20400I%20
Not a lot to go on is there? Strange front plate on the car with the PE suffix. That car couldn't possibly have spent some time in Peru, could it? It's hard to think of a more hostile environment for a Ferrari than Peru (and I love Peru!).
When I talked to him he wouldn't say much about the car. Said it was illegal in Quebec to tell someone a VIN number.
I don't believe that it is illegal in the province of Quebec to disclose a VIN. Here's a link to a booklet published by the SAAQ ,who are responsible for vehilce reigistration and Quebec's basic insurance scheme, that suggests VINs should be obtained. http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/publications/immatriculation/histoires_an.pdf Love the title "Don't Fall For Stories" The plate might be Italian with the PE being a refence to the registration location, e.g., Perugia. Just a guess. See samples at: http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/hp.html Jon
Good day, Interestingly, it looks like the car is at John Scotti in Montreal...I say this, as the pictures are the same ones as listed below: http://www.canadatrader.com/result/detailinfo.aspx?ID=31504134&pgno=6&srt=7 As for price... if it is a John Scotti, then the price will be way up there...I wonder if they really sell the cars for the price they ask? Cheers, Sam
I saw this ad a couple of months ago and checked the dealer website. The advertized price was around $65,000. WOW! No price given now though. Chris
I can't speak for other people from CT, but I have been to Peru many times since my first visit in 1994, when the Shining Path was in its waning days, and I really enjoy seeing how the country has grown and developed during that time. The people are friendly and the energy of the country is exciting. Machu Picchu is a fabulous place to visit. There still is a lot of poverty, especially in the countryside, but the country has a lot of promise to follow in the path of Chile if they continue to develop and encourage a middle class. Oh yes, the Pisco Sours are terrific as well! (Just don't tell that to a Chilean, who think that they invented the drink!)
Good day Chris, I am not surprised... Almost all of the cars advertised by John Scotti seem over priced. As I said, I am curious if they really do get some of the prices they ask...They must sell some cars, as they tend to have (or had anyway) an extensive collection of cars... wait, maybe that is the reason they have so many cars? Just out of curiousity has anyone ever dealt with JS and if so are they a reasonable dealer (sales, service, etc)? I ask, as I have heard mixed things over the years. Cheers, Sam
What was it that took you to Peru? Was it geography or philosophy? It looks like a great place, but it's probably the last place I would think to go.
